so this past tues night i had food poisoning and if it wasn’t for my roomies tina and stacey, i don’t know if i would have made it.

it’s kinda interesting that i find myself in the ER the tuesday after taking the MCATs, considering how i don’t think i’ve been in an ER since i broke my leg sophomore year in high school. when i was lying there on the gurney i really wanted to yell at the doctor and nurse because i was in so much pain and all they could say was “mindy, you need to tell me what’s wrong” but i guess i can understand that they didn’t want to administer anything til they were pretty certain it was food poisoning but man, being on probably my 7th throw-up and diarrhea-ing, you can’t really blame me. after some medicine (some clear liquid, i don’t know) and several hours of cold fluids that made me shiver, there was some pain left but it was manageable. i was very grateful for the doctor and nurse who suddenly seemed caring and showed much concern for me. after a urine sample and pregnancy test (yay! i’m not pregnant), my wonderful roomies took me home and out went all my plans for the week (to celebrate the end of MCATs).

Haha, that sounds a lot like my sophomore year of high school when I dropped out for Crohn’s. The ER’s not fun, is it? Oh well, take it in stride, I spose. You’ll be on the other side of that table soon.
